Becoming a More Effective Teacher

A reason to attend Bible study is to become a more effective teacher. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:13-14). Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God (Hebrews 6:1).
Let’s put ourselves in our students’ shoes when we attend a Bible study. We expect to learn and not be bored in trying to do it. When we know more about the subject, we make the learning experience more satisfying and the student learns more. We need to look to Jesus as our example in teaching Ephesians 4:20-21 (KJV) But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus (John 6:45). It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Can you recall any time when Jesus taught it was not effective.
