Are We Setting a Good Example?

A very good reason to attend bible stud is to set a good example. Matthew 5:13-16 (KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Let’s break this down, starting with the young. Are we setting the example of attendance to our young? Are we setting the example of teaching? Are we setting the example of learning about God? Do we take in God’s word and are we able to teach it to others or, do we get upset when we can’t explain what we want  to teach our friends? Attending Bible study will help us to overcome this. We need to follow the example of the godly. Hebrews 13:7 (KJV) Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
