Strive to Gain Daily Encouragement

Drink a glass of water.  That satisfied my thirst, but I will need it again shortly.  I also need daily exhortations and encouragement.  A man said to his wife, “When I married you I told you I loved you; if I ever change my mind I’ll let you know.” We need encouragement from others, be an encourager.

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:12-13).

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works” (Hebrews 10:22-24).

Practice the Golden Rule (Matt. 7:12).

Give encouragement–receive encouragement

Give a smile–receive a smile.

Give a compliment–receive a compliment.

Be there for people–they’ll be there for you.

Cast your bread on the water and receive it again after many days. “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after   many days” (Ecclesiastes 11:1).
