Paul in his letter to Timothy wrote, “Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14-15)
Very probably Timothy’s parents taught him many valuable things, but the most important thing he learned was the Bible. Parents today need to make sure that their children grow up knowing the scriptures. There are several different ways in which this can be done. 1- Parents can read Bible stories to their children when they are small. 2- They can always take time to answer their children’s questions about God and His word. 3- They can make sure that their children are in Bible class.
There are a lot of valuable things which parents can teach their children but nothing is more important than religious training. Were your children in Bible class today?
