As with every other aspect of life, God cares how you vote. It influences the morality of society, aids in retention of our founding religious freedoms, and shapes the parameters of societal behavior. For Christians, the policies of the people we vote for should be in keeping with God’s will.
In 43 days, each of us will have the opportunity to vote for the individuals who best represent Christian morals as prescribed by God in His word.
At conception, a human is created (Psalm 139:13-16, Jeremiah 1:5). The intentional killing of innocent life is condemned by God (Exodus 20:13, Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9). The process by which a woman can kill her unborn child is called abortion and is a heinous sin. Under the Law of Moses, the unintentional harming of a pregnant women was a punishable offense. The unintentional death of a child that resulted from harming a pregnant woman was punishable by death (Exodus 21:22-23). God cares deeply for every human life, including those in the womb waiting to be born. Research the party platforms to find out which candidates reflect God’s will on this matter.
In Genesis, God created Adam and Eve and provided the family model (Genesis 2:24). One man + one woman = God’s plan. Any partnership that deviates from His plan is sin and should not be supported by Christians. The gay marriage agenda is being fiercely pushed by one party and people who oppose God. Homosexual practice is sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:24-27). Homosexual marriage is sin. Research the party platforms to find out which candidates reflect God’s will on this matter.
