Jesus is Coming Back

The Bible has three primary themes: Jesus is coming, Jesus is here, and Jesus is coming back. From the ascension of Christ in Acts 1 through the book of Revelation, we find the third of these themes.

These passages of scripture point us to the return of Jesus. Paul wrote, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

These passages of scripture prepare us for Jesus’ return. Paul also wrote in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable…for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

These passages of scripture warn us to be ready for that day to come. John wrote, “Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward” (2 John 8).

We are indescribably blessed to live during a time when God has fully revealed His plan. We know why Jesus came, what He accomplished, and that He is coming back. We must prepare ourselves according to the word of God and be ready for that incredible day to come.
