With a new year comes excitement—new experiences, challenges, and goals. As the calendar changes, we can easily remember the past and anxiously look forward to the future. A new year is a perfect opportunity for a new beginning and a fresh start.
A wonderful blessing we have from God is His constant and always “new” love toward us. In Lamentations 3, we read, “The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). God’s love and kindness toward us will never diminish or end. His care and concern for us are constantly refreshed and new.
As we make and follow through with plans for this new year and take this annual opportunity to set health, financial, and spiritual goals, we should remember that God’s incredible love for us will never cease or fail. God’s love does not need a fresh start or a new beginning; it is “new every morning.”
