In a chaotic and ever-changing world, finding something solid to hold onto can be challenging. However, this does not mean that the Christian has no hope. In a world that is constantly changing and growing darker, it’s crucial to remind ourselves of God’s promises in His Word; the only thing that will last forever (Matthew 25:35).
David speaks of the divine assurance in the Lord. By God seeing our faithfulness we know He is One who rewards it richly. God continually and actively is involved in safeguarding, nurturing, and uplifting those who remain true to Him.
“O love the LORD, all you His godly ones! The LORD preserves the faithful And fully recompenses the proud doer. Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the LORD.” (Psalms 31:23-24)
No matter the circumstance, trust in the Lord and His promises. Our faithfulness is never in vain. Knowing God, and His Word, allows us to take courage in times of despair. Staying faithful gives us the hope in the Lord that is needed to face tomorrow and whatever it brings. Do not lose heart; be faithful and know that the Lord will reward those who remain faithful.
