Have you ever been on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and seen all the beauty they hold? When looking at creation it is hard to miss the intricacies of it all, and the fact that there is a Creator behind these works. In Psalm 111, the Palmist praises God and calls for others to honor God for the great work He has done. This sets a tone of awe and reverence, inviting us today to think about the wondrous deeds of the Lord.
Moving past creation, think for a moment about God’s justice, righteousness, mercy, and His unwavering faithfulness. From providing for His people to delivering them from oppression, God shows His character for us today. His justice is unwavering, and His provisions are abundant, reminding us that He cares for us.
As we contemplate the greatness of God, consider how His faithfulness calls us to respond. God has provided us a way to come to know Him, by having His creation bare testimony to His glory (Psalms 19), and His faithfulness seen through history (2 Timothy 2:13). God has provided a way for mankind to come to know Him and be a part of Him. The question is, how will you respond to the faithfulness of God?
