Assurance

Have you heard of acronyms like IRA, ETF, EPS, and ROE? These are just a few of the many acronyms used in analyzing investments, which show how complex managing your investments can be. This complexity might be why many people choose to study finance to learn the knowledge and skills they need to make good investment choices. Researching and finding the right financial strategies can be a lot of work, but it’s important for achieving financial success and feeling confident in your investment decisions. But, if we think about how much time we invest in building our confidence and the use of our resources, we should also think about how much time we should spend studying the Bible.

This is similar to the investment strategy we use when making financial decisions. We wouldn’t make hasty investments without doing our research, so we shouldn’t approach our chance for eternal life in the same way. As 2 Timothy 2:15 emphasizes, the sole means of achieving our assurance lies in our approach to the Bible and our consistent application of its pages in our daily lives. This spiritual walk is similar to financial decisions; it demands discipline and a lifelong commitment. However, through these Godly and upright efforts, we can be assured of our reward.
