One of the greatest joys that a Christian can experience is the profound sense of anticipation and joy that comes from thinking of Heaven. It’s not just a distant, unimaginable place, nor is it merely a place of divine presence. Rather, it holds a special significance as the ultimate destination of our lives. This realization is the driving force behind our efforts to live our lives in a manner worthy of Christ, as it ensures that we can partake in the reward that awaits us in Heaven.
Just imagine how this promised paradise will influence our choices here on Earth. When we encounter temptations that try to divert us from God, we don’t just have to resist them. Instead, we can perceive them as attempts to pull us away from God and the utopia He has prepared for us. When we contemplate the sorrows and trials we all endure, we shouldn’t lose hope or succumb to discouragement. Instead, we can focus on this Heavenly destination and find the strength to keep moving forward in His service. Let us not forget our reward; let us persist in striving to live a manner that will lead us to that reward of Heaven, which we all eagerly await.
