Be Kind To One Another

If you have siblings, do you recall a time when your parents scolded you for not getting along? Did you ever notice the lack of care they had for who initiated the argument, but instead focused on the fact that both of you were fighting? Perhaps the saying, “It takes two to fight or argue,” was said. The point was it didn’t matter what the other person did; your actions or reactions are what mattered. It’s up to you to control whether you’ll be kind or not.

It was once said that being kind is putting our love into action. While it’s easy to reciprocate kindness for kindness, what about those who aren’t kind to us? As Christians we are called to be kind to others. In Luke 6:35, Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and do good without expecting anything in return. This is where it begins to be challenging. To be kind to those who we may not initially think are deserving of our kindness can be a hard task. As Christians though, we should strive to be seen as loving and kind to all. By doing this, we might just make an impact on those that we are around.
