Unfortunately, something that every single person will go through in life is dealing with hardships. Even though these trials appear to be different in each other’s lives, it does not mean that it is not hard for everyone to get through their hardship. Sometimes the trials in our lives are due to life; life just happens. Other times trials happen because we have placed ourselves in a difficult situation and we are now dealing with the consequences. There are a variety of reasons that we might go through trials here on earth, but one thing to remember is that we are not alone.
James speaks much about trials in James 1. As we read through what James says, we find that if we can make it through our trials, our faith in God will grow. He shows that when it seems like we can’t understand, we can ask God for wisdom. In verse 12, James points out that if we can make it through whatever life here on earth has to offer, if we are able to stay faithful, then we will receive that crown of life. Let us strive to get through all of life’s trials faithfully.
