I Am Looking For…

Have you ever searched for something you thought you had at one time, but now you just can’t seem to find it? You go through the house, check drawers, retrace your steps, all in search of that one missing item. In the middle of it all, someone asks, “What are you looking for?” They may be asking out of curiosity, or perhaps they genuinely want to help.

Today, that same question is worth asking: What are you looking for? As anyone approaches Christ, it is important to consider what you truly need, so that you can confidently say:

I am looking for a Savior.
Jesus is the One who fulfills that need, for He gave Himself up for our sins so that we might be saved (Titus 2:13–14).

I am looking for comfort.
God provides a comfort far greater than anything this world can offer. While human comfort is temporary, His comfort sustains us through every trial (2 Corinthians 1:3–4).

I am looking for hope, something to hold onto in this world.
Jesus calls all to come to Him and find rest and refuge (Matthew 11:28–30).

Whatever you are searching for, it is found in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Life may be difficult. There may be challenges, or even a lingering sense that something is missing. That emptiness has an answer: Christ.

The joy found in Him cannot be taken away. The hope rooted in Him does not fade. The life He offers is beyond comparison. What are you looking for?
