Remember When . . .

When was the last time you reminisced about the ‘good ole days’? Those days when you were perhaps younger and didn’t have to worry about a job, bills, or life seemed simple. For some, those days weren’t that long ago, while for others, it may feel like a lifetime. Regardless of the life we live now, which may seem blissful, there are still times when we can recall fond memories and long for the simplicity of times past.

What about recalling when you gave your life to Christ? There again, we all have come to Christ at different times and ages, but we can still remember the joy that was ours when we were baptized. As there are some who may long for the days that are gone, Christians can know that we are living our best days in Christ now. Just read what Paul wrote in the first two chapters of Ephesians, where he describes the blessings in Christ. Those same blessings that were theirs are ours as well. There is no longer a need to look back and long for days past, but instead, we can long for the days to come. The day when we receive our inheritance since we have been made co-heirs with Christ.
