What is your daily routine? One could venture that for the most part most everyone has a routine that they have designed, and that they follow almost every day. Maybe there is some slight variation from time to time, but for the most part, would you say that you have a routine that you follow?
As you think about your daily routine, are there moments when negative thoughts creep in unnoticed? Maybe it’s frustration during a traffic jam, envy scrolling through social media, or impatience with a loved one. These small cracks can become footholds if we’re not watchful. This is why Peter warns that we remain watchful all the time so that we do not fall into sin (1 Peter 5:8).
Staying spiritually alert isn’t about living in fear; it’s about being prepared. With God’s Word planted in our hearts, we can recognize subtle temptations that lead to sin and stand firm in our faith every single day. Life is filled with distractions—endless to-do lists, social media, and daily stress. It’s easy to let our guard down spiritually amidst the business of the day. However, Peter’s warning is clear: we must stay alert because the enemy often attacks when we’re least prepared.
