If you were asked, “why do we have the Bible?” what would you say? Based on your response, how would you rate your handling of the Word of God, knowing its importance? God has given us His Word as the ultimate source of truth, guidance, and spiritual nourishment. The Bible is not just a book to be read occasionally; it is the living Word of God (Hebrews 4:12).
Through it, we learn who God is, what He desires, and how we are to live in a way that honors Him. When we neglect the study of Scripture, we miss the daily direction and strength that God intends for His people. This is why Paul encourages us to show ourselves approved with the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15). The Bible equips us to know the truth, strengthens our faith and keeps us from being misled by false teachings.
Regular study deepens our relationship with the Lord. We are called to search the Scriptures daily with a willing heart. As we grow in our knowledge and application of God’s Word, our lives will bear fruit, and we’ll be better equipped to encourage others. Let us be diligent students of the Bible, allowing God’s truth to shape every part of our lives.
