How many different ways do you think we can write about, or talk about, the glory of Christ? Even when John wrote his gospel he ends it by saying,
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written” (John 21:25).
John, speaking of everything that Jesus had done in His ministry while on the earth, said there were too many things to even write a book about. Think of Jesus’s work and how it is still ongoing today.
The reason that we have our salvation is because Jesus died once and for all on that cross, offering salvation to all of mankind (1 John 2:1-2).
The reason that we have a hope is because Jesus Himself being God in the flesh, promised us a home in heaven with Him (John 14:1-3).
The reason that we can come before our Heavenly Father spiritually in prayer is because Christ is our High Priest, offering us a way through Him, with confidence, to the Father (Hebrews 4:15-16).
There is a song that we sometimes sing, “I love to tell the story”. Is that true for us today? Do we truly love to talk about Christ and all of His wonderful blessings that He has given to us? If not, maybe we should take some time just to think about all that Christ has done for us.
