Vacation Bible School Success!

VBS was a great success! For three days, 31 children heard lessons about the miracles of Jesus and learned how to apply those lessons in their lives. Kids sang, made crafts, played outside, and finished each day with refreshments.

On Wednesday evening, we invited parents, grandparents, friends, and family to see what their children had learned and to get to know us a little better.

Consider the following:

  • 31 children attended (12 from North Main and 19 visitors)
  • At least 45 of our members actively participated
  • Three lessons were taught
  • Three lesson-appropriate crafts were prepared, made, and taken home
  • Countless hours went into the preparation, planning, and decorating
  • Nine colorful palm trees decorated the building
  • One life-sized boat was constructed for the craft room along with 26 seagulls
  • 103 attended Wednesday night
  • 75 burgers and 100 hot dogs were served
  • One inflatable bounce house was well used on Wednesday

We are all thankful for the great efforts that made our VBS a success. We pray that the benefit of the Biblical lessons from God’s word, along with the impressions and connections made with so many, will have an immeasurable and even eternal impact.
