Walking in a Worthy Manner

When you are on a hike, unless you plan on being the trailblazer, you find that it is important to stay on the trail so you do not lose your way. Now, there are times that the trail is not marked as well as others, and there are times where for the sake of a better scenery you may wonder off trail. When this happens you have to find your way back to the trail that is marked.

The same is applied to us when we are walking with God. Paul, in Ephesians 4:1, implores the Christians to walk in a worthy manner of their calling. This means that we are called to walk on the trail, or path, that is clearly laid out for us. If we wander away because we fall prey to the allurements of temptations, then we are to be the ones that find our way back to Him (1 John 1:9). However, we must not think that just because we  come back to Him that we can wander away anytime we choose (Hebrews 10:26). Instead, let us always strive to walk in that worthy manner following Him.
