What Shall We Say . . .

When you were growing up, did your parents ever ask why you did something that you knew you shouldn’t have done? There really wasn’t a good reason, maybe even when you thought about what you did, it really didn’t make sense. Going along with a similar idea, have we ever thought of why we messed up and sinned? There was not a good reason, except maybe that we lost track of what we were doing and lost focus of what was important.

So, what shall we say?  How might we be able to fix this problem? By being those who focus on His word, like the one that is described in Psalms 1. They are meditating on the Word of God day and night, and they do not see His commands as burdensome, but instead delight in obeying them. Not the one who is tossed about unsure of what to do, maybe taking advice from those who do not know better. Instead, be like the one that is planted in the Word and firm in the law of God. Only by being planted in Him can we stand in the day of Judgement with the assembly of the righteous.
