Who Is Coming?

One of the most significant stressors in event planning is determining the guest list. After all, without knowing who’s attending, how can you calculate the necessary space, seating arrangements, food requirements, and table settings? The list goes on. Planning for an event’s guest list is a complex task. However, there are instances when the exact number of attendees is uncertain, leaving us with no choice but to make the best assumptions we can and prepare accordingly. One thing you can count on is that your guest list is going to be small if no one is invited.

As we approach our Friends and Family Day at North Main, we must ask ourselves, “Who all is coming?” This is a day for reaching out to those we already have a connection with—friends, colleagues, and even family members who may be unfaithful. It could be an opportunity to turn to our unfaithful brother or sister in Christ that is in need of repentance and turning back to God. If you’re looking for an icebreaker or a way to start a conversation about coming to church, this is a chance to invite them. May 4th is just four short weeks away from now, who are you bringing?
